
Today officially begins the 16th week. Last night Luke & I had a doctor's appointment to take a standard blood test. Though the test was less than enjoyable (I hate having blood taken!), we were excited to hear the baby's heartbeat on the doppler. The heart was "whoosh-ing" strong at 166 beats per minute - perfectly healthy, according to Dr. Jakus! Though I still have a feeling that it isa little boy, old wives tales dictate that a heartbeat over 140 is an indication of a girl. Plus, I had a dream last night where the baby was born and it was indeed a little girl. So really, who knows?!? Our doctor told us that we could have an ultrasound in as early as two weeks to find out the gender, but to be safe and make sure that we get an accurrate reading, we are planning on having scheduling the next ultrasound on February 26... LHKZ or ZMZ - we shall see! ;-)
